Bridge Celebrates the Opening of Boston's only Emergency Youth Shelter On the evening of Thursday, September 15th, Bridge Over Troubled Waters formally opened the new Emergency Youth Shelter located on the third floor of our office in downtown Boston. The ribbon-cutting event was enthusiastically attended by notable members of the Hub's philanthropic elite, as well as the Mayor of our great city, Thomas M. Menino. The support of these particular guests, as well as the truly groundbreaking nature of the facility and its related programs, drew the attention of boston.com's Downtown section. The following day, journalist Jeremy C. Fox published an excellent article concerning both the ceremony itself and the outreach put into place by Bridge as our organization continues to serve Boston's most vulnerable homeless population. Please take the time to read Mr. Fox's piece, and share it with your friends, relatives, and others you believe would appreciate the value of our efforts. Thank you for your support. You allow Bridge to make major strides in the important work it does to protect the future of our treasured community of youth.
