National Safe Place Week is March 17-23, 2019
Bridge’s Executive Director, Elisabeth Jackson, and Director of Program Services, Peter Ducharme, were on BNN TV to discuss National Safe Place Week, and the importance of the Safe Place network in our community for youth in crisis.
National Safe Place Week serves to raise awareness about Safe Place, a national outreach program for youth in need of immediate help and safety. Bridge is a lead Safe Place agency here in Massachusetts for the National Safe Place Network, overseeing a network of 15 Safe Place sites.
Bridge joined the National Safe Place Network in July 2016 as a lead agency to create a network of Safe Place sites. This network of Safe Place sites is an extension of Bridge’s outreach to homeless and runaway youth. Each Safe Place site is an access point to Bridge’s programs and services for underage youth who urgently need help and safety.
