On Friday, May 10, 2019 more than 300 of Boston’s influential business leaders and philanthropists joined at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston to support Bridge Over Troubled Waters’ annual The Path Home Gala, honoring David Long of Liberty Mutual Insurance.
This year’s event co-chairs were Chuck Clough, Chairman, CEO and Portfolio Manager at Clough Capital Partners, and Tom May, Chairman Emeritus of Eversource Energy.
The event raised $2.1 million for the programs and services at Bridge Over Troubled Waters (Bridge), Boston’s foremost agency serving homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth. The Gala helps raise the funds to cover a significant portion of Bridge’s operating expenses and provide critical services to 2,000 youth.
Bridge honored David Long of Liberty Mutual Insurance for his efforts to serve Boston’s homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth.
Partnering with Bridge in many ways over the past decade, Mr. Long has helped strengthen Bridge’s comprehensive continuum of services, street outreach and emergency overnight accommodations to transitional and independent housing programs. Last year, David led Liberty Mutual Foundation in helping Bridge purchase and establish Liberty House, an independent living program for young adults moving on from other Bridge programs who are advancing their education and are employed.
