This was the first event in a four-part series led by Learning by Giving Foundation on how to do impactful giving
Peter Ducharme, Director of Program Services at Bridge Over Troubled Waters, spoke at a panel moderated by the Executive Director of Learning by Giving Foundation. The evening was an opportunity for young professionals to learn more about how nonprofits make sure their programs and services are relevant and accessible for constituents.
How Bridge ensures relevancy of programs and services for our youth in need
Peter Ducharme, Director of Program Services, spoke about the services Bridge offers and how we incorporate our youth’s perspectives and voice in the development and refinement of programs. Peter also spoke about how Bridge defines impact - or success - through increased stability for our youth. This taught attendees that each organization has different definitions of success.
The importance of incorporating the community into organization’s relevance
The audience was a group of young professionals learning about giving and philanthropy. It was important for the audience to learn how Bridge does this to better evaluate the tremendous impact Bridge has in their community like fellow nonprofits while staying true to our mission.
