Safe Place Update: Spring 2017

Since being trained as a Safe Place agency in July 2016, Bridge has been identifying and training additional sites for this outreach and prevention program.

Any organization displaying this sign in their window or on their wall is a Safe Place site where underage youth can come for help.

Safe Place sites serve as an extension of Bridge’s 24/7 on-call services for 14-17 year-olds in need of survival services and emergency placement. Trained employees at these sites make sure the youth feels comfortable and welcome while they call Bridge to request the assistance of the adolescent/runaway counselors. Safe Place sites are trained by Bridge’s Adolescent/Runaway Counselor.

Where are current Safe Place sites?

Current Safe Place sites include Bridge’s main location at 47 West Street and the Mobile Medical Van, Project Trust, and the Wang YMCA. Bridge plans to train more sites throughout the City of Boston.
