“A friend suggested that I call Bridge. So I called and was able to be set up with the Education Department and start school here at Bridge.

I always knew I was smart enough, and knowing that, I kept trying. The problem was not me as a person, but the way the classes were taught at school. But Bridge has helped me and it’s been amazing. I’ve been able to find progress.”

Meet Ben, running the 2019 Falmouth Road Race for Bridge!

I wanted to run for Bridge because I believe in the agency and its mission.

Bridge is vital to the health and wellness of homeless youth in Boston. We are the only agency that does what we do. I work as an outreach worker at Bridge, where I spend my days on the streets of Boston and the medical van, spreading information about all the resources Bridge offers. I have seen firsthand how big of an impact this place can have, and I wanted to raise money to be a part of that.

Linda: "One night I noticed the Bridge van and stopped to see what it was all about."

Linda is an Advisory Council member. She shares a bit about how and why she got involved with Bridge.

When a close friend asked if I would be interested in joining the Advisory Council, I jumped at the chance to contribute to this wonderful organization.  As a child my father would say “a community is only as strong as its weakest link.”  I like to think that Bridge is working to strengthen our community, one link at a time.
