Bridge’s Work-Based Learning Program (WLP) is a three month part-time, paid internship to develop essential employment skills in a supportive environment.

Harry currently lives in our Emergency Residence, busy stabilizing his life. He is glad for this part-time opportunity while fielding job interviews.

Bridge launches 15th Safe Place Site

Haley House soup kitchen becomes Boston’s 15th Safe Place

Here in Boston, Bridge is the local respondent for the national runaway hotline and National Safe Place Network. Our Adolescent Runaway Counselor, Jade, trains and manages a network of fifteen Safe Place sites, where underage youth can go if they urgently need help and safety. Haley House, a soup kitchen Boston’s South End, is on the same street as a high school. This proximity helps improve access for youth ages 14-17.

Bridge participates as key partner in 2019 Winter Walk

The third annual Winter Walk took place on Sunday, February 10!

The morning was a chance to come together and raise awareness of homelessness here in Boston. This year the team was bigger than ever, with sixteen individuals walking on behalf of Bridge. A big thank you to all our team members for joining!

Also, we had our Mobile Medical Van on-site and people appreciated the chance to climb aboard for a tour!

What is the Winter Walk?

Starting and ending in Copley Square, the walk is a two-mile loop around the Boston Common. Afterwards, participants mingled in Copley Square for breakfast and a brief program.
